Factory

Mr. Wonka,

This will be my last message to you. You see, the factory has finally shut it’s doors. I’m sorry that I didn’t take care of it like you asked of me. However, I do feel like it was unfair of what was asked of me to begin with. There were many qualities that I simply did not possess, and would’ve taken years of expertise to perfect otherwise. I did the best that I could, but that simply wasn’t enough. The fact is though, that the factory itself has nearly sunken with the ship, and we need to climb aboard together in order to bury it in the canal, in order to escape. The only other way out is simply going back in time…

*Round the world and home again
That’s the sailor’s way
Faster faster, faster faster

There’s no earthly way of knowing
Which direction we are going
There’s no knowing where we’re rowing
Or which way the river’s flowing
Is it raining, is it snowing
Is a hurricane a-blowing
Not a speck of light is showing
So the danger must be growing
Are the fires of Hell a-glowing
Is the grisly reaper mowing
Yes, the danger must be growing
For the rowers keep on rowing
And they’re certainly not showing
Any signs that they are slowing

I’m a father, musician, artist, writer, photographer, designer, and storyteller – among other things. I graduated from Central Columbia High School in 2006, and from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2008. I’ve worked primarily as a CAD Design Technician since graduating, holding a couple of odd jobs in-between employment in my field of study. I’ve lived in just about every region of Pennsylvania, having grown up in Berwick, my secondary education held in Williamsport, and then moving for work back to Williamsport, then to Jersey Shore, to Lebanon, and finally to Cornwall, where I live in my home with my son, part-time. Feel free to reach me at jp (at) jpweidemoyer.com. Thanks, and be well.
